About the Job

The Service Technician at Panda Water Tech Pvt. Ltd. will be responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of our advanced water and wastewater treatment systems. This role is essential to ensuring our clients receive reliable, high-performance water treatment solutions and ongoing support throughout the lifecycle of their systems.

Summary

The Service Technician will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining our water treatment solutions at client sites. This position requires comprehensive knowledge of RO plants and other water treatment technologies, expertise in installation and commissioning, and strong technical problem-solving abilities. The ideal candidate will represent our commitment to quality and excellence through their service work.

At this position level:

  • Performs installation, commissioning, and maintenance of water treatment systems
  • Provides technical support and troubleshooting for clients
  • Ensures optimal performance of installed systems

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and service Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants and other water treatment systems
  • Conduct regular maintenance visits to client sites as per service agreements
  • Perform membrane cleaning and replacement procedures
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in water treatment systems
  • Conduct water quality testing and system performance evaluations
  • Calibrate instruments and control systems for optimal operation
  • Train clients on basic operation and maintenance procedures
  • Document service activities, system performance, and recommended actions
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and consumables needed for service calls
  • Collaborate with the engineering team on system improvements based on field experience
  • Respond to emergency service calls in a timely manner
  • Support custom modification projects for existing installations
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards during all site work

Work Requirements

  • Must be able and willing to travel extensively to client sites across regions
  • May be required to work in various industrial environments
  • Must be available for emergency service calls as needed
  • Must be willing to wear personal protective equipment

Minimum Education

  • Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, or related technical field

Job-Related Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with RO plants and water treatment systems

Knowledge & Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems and principles
  • Understanding of water chemistry and treatment processes
  • Proficiency in installation and commissioning of water treatment equipment
  • Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and P&ID diagrams
  • Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems used in water treatment
  • Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex system issues
  • Knowledge of water quality standards and testing methods
  • Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems
  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Computer literacy for documentation and reporting

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

  • Technical certification in water treatment systems preferred
  • Valid driver's license
